世界衛生組織最近創造了“信息流行病(infodemic)”一詞,指在疾病流行期間信息過載,且良莠不齊。例如,有關艾滋病的錯誤信息流傳了很多年;西非埃博拉疫情爆發時缺乏可靠證據、決策能力差;以及對于COVID-19的預防行為、口罩的使用和疫苗問題也有很多猶豫不決的爭論。
在第75屆聯合國大會之際,洛克菲勒基金會-波士頓大學健康決定因素,數據和決策委員會(3-D委員會)希望與大家討論以下問題:決策者面對質量較差、不足或過量的數據,如何做出有利于大眾福祉的決定?在以數據為依據的流行病防控決策過程中,有哪些重要的經驗教訓?
